SUGAR MATTE AS HELL CRAYON LIPSTICK - REVIEW

Hello Glitters,

I am going to review the matte as hell crayon lipstick from the brand SUGAR.

There are totally 5 shades available :

  1. Scarlet O'Hara
  2. Mary Poppins
  3. Poison Ivy
  4. Holy Go Lightly
  5. Rose Dawson
I am going to swatch 4 shades now, I couldn't get my hands on Rose Dawson.

Price : Rs.799 each.

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT :

Packaging :

It comes in a cardboard box which has a cute geometric design on it with the shade name on it.

It comes in a matte black crayon type packaging with the lipstick color on one end. The crayon needs to be sharpened.

Texture :

It has a very soft creamy texture to it and it glides easily on the lips.

Pigmentation :

These lip crayons are very pigmented and one swipe is enough to cover even pigmented lips. But the shade Holy Go Lightly is less pigmented and the opacity is not that great.

Shades :

1. Scarlet O'Hara is a bright red shade in one swipe it gives a good color pay off.

2. Mary Poppins is a very bright pink shade with purple undertones to it.

3. Poison Ivy is a deep dark maroon shade and this also gives good color pay off.

4. Holy Go Lightly is a neutral nude pink shade which is less pigmented than rest of the shades. This is a perfect everyday color.

Staying Power :

It stays for 4 to 5 hours on my lips. It fades out gradually leaving a light tint behind.

Yay !
  • Classy matte black packaging.
  • Smooth texture.
  • Good staying power.
  • Great color pay off.
Nah !
  • Needs to be sharpened which leads to product wastage.
  • Pricey.

Happy Glitters Rating : 4/5

Will I Repurchase?

YES, I like the formula I would try their new shade ROSE DAWSON.

Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek Color - Review

Hello Glitters,

Today I am reviewing a new launch from Lakme 9 to 5 range. It is their Weightless Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek Color in the shade - COFFEE LITE.

We would've used lipsticks on our cheeks as blush during our School/College days. Now Lakme has come up with this type of product which can be used as a lipstick and also as a cheek color.

 Price : Rs. 575 for 9 g.

Product Description :

Lakme's first ever lip color in a mousse texture is super weightless and can be used as a cheek tint too.
Available in 10 intense and vibrant shades, they last long and have a powdery matte finish.
It's 2 in 2 formula makes it an instant everyday favourite for the modern Indian Woman of today.

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT :

Packaging :

It comes in a classy rose gold cardboard box which has the tube inside. The tube is dusky mauve pink in shade with a rose gold cap just like their other 9 to 5 packaging.

The shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the tube.

The applicator is "Tear Drop"in shape and picks up the right amount of product and applies the product very gently and perfectly on lips.

Texture :

It has a mousse texture to it just like the NYX and other soft matte lip creams but these are even more creamier and soft.

Fragrance :

It has a strong vanilla and coconut scent to it which might be a problem for some people.

Staying Power :

It stayed on for 5 to 6 hours on my lips. Brighter and darker shades might last even longer than the light ones.

Pigmentation :

These are highly pigmented and one swipe is enough to cover full lips.

SHADE : Coffee Lite is a medium coffee brown shade which looks different on different skin tones. I am happy that Lakme is bringing more new shades which are suitable for Indian skin tones.

Check the review video for this product on my YouTube channel. https://youtu.be/dDW1Jkcq3A8

As A Cheek Color ?

You have to very quick in blending the color. It settles matte and dry very quickly.
And the shade I bought doesn't work well as a cheek stain. But other shades like Pink plush, Rose touch might work well as cheek color.

Yay !!

  • Classy and Travel-friendly packaging.
  • Tear drop shaped applicator for precise and perfect application.
  • Weightless mousse texture.
  • Great pigmentation.
  • Good quantity.

Nah !!
  • Little bit pricey for their 9 to 5 range.
  • Shade names are mentioned at the bottom of the tube.

Happy Glitters Rating : 4/5

Will I Repurchase?

Yes, I would love to try out the other shades from this range.

Lakme Absolute Blur Perfect Primer - Review

Hello Glitters,

I am finally back after two months. Today I am going to share my views on the new Lakme Absolute Blur Perfect Primer. Lakme has come up with its first primer.

I have been using it for more than a month and I thought I should share my views about it.

Price : Rs. 650 for 30 g

Product description :

A smooth matte texture that's waterproof and extremely lightweight. Lakme Absolute Blur Perfect primer is your go-to product for a flawless, even-toned face. It creates the perfect base for makeup, makes it last longer and hides all your imperfection.

How to use :

Step 1 : Squeeze some product on your palm.

Step 2 : Use your ring finger to dot the primer all over your face.

Step 3 : Lightly blend it in a downward direction from your hairline to the neckline.

Ingredients :

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT :

The primer comes in a black tube with a silver cap, similarly like their CC cream and 9 to 5 mousse foundation.

The nozzle squeezes out the right amount of product.

The texture looks like a light pink cream with mousse consistency. It glides on smoothly and blends like a dream.

It feels very light on skin, small amount of product is enough to cover full face.

It really does what the name says; yes it does blur out the pores and gives a velvety-matte finish.

The primer is not hydrating enough for dry skin. It covers large open pores and makes them appear less visible.

The foundation glides on very easily and smoothly over the primer and stays for really a long time. It gives a nice glow to my face.

Staying Power :

This primer keeps my makeup in place for more than 8 to 9 hours.

It also prevent my makeup from creasing.

Yay !

  • Cute packaging.
  • Mousse texture.
  • Affordable.
  • Little goes a long way.
  • Brightens up the skin.
  • Blurs out the pores.
  • Makeup stays for long time.
  • Gives soft and smooth finish.
  • Controls oil and shine.
  • Minimises fine lines.

Nah !
  • Absolutely nothing.

Happy Glitters Rating : 5/5

Will I Recommend ?

Definitely YES :) It is affordable for a primer and worth all the money spent.
