MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT :

Packaging :

It comes in a metallic rose gold packaging. It looks so elegant. The shades are labelled at the bottom of the lipstick.

Texture :

It has very soft texture and it glides on very smoothly on lips. It is more like a powdered matte lipsticks. These are powdery rather being creamy like all other matte lipsticks.

Pigmentation :

These are amazingly pigmented, single swipe gives full color. They doesn't settles into fine lines of the lips and are not very drying.

Staying Power :

It stayed for 5 - 6 hours on my lips and slowly started to fade leaving a tint behind.

Some of the shades have shimmers and it doesn't settles into fine lines.

THE GOOD :

  • Attractive and classy packaging.
  • Long wearing.
  • Soft and creamy texture.
  • Affordable.
  • Doesn't flake off.
  • Very pigmented.

THE NOT SO GOOD :
  • Not the best one for dry/chap lips. However, applying lip balm underneath helps to keep the lips hydrated.

Lakme CC Cream - Review & Swatch

Hi Girls,

Today I am reviewing a CC cream launched by Lakme, which is India's first CC cream. The shade I am reviewing is Beige.

Price : Rs. 250 for 30 ml.

Shelf life : 2 years.

Product description :

Ingredients :

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT :

The packaging looks classy - its a pale gold color tube, with fuchsia lettering and secured with a tight silver cap. It is sturdy and travel friendly.

The nozzle is very tiny and it controls the product from wastage while squeezing.

It has a smooth creamy texture and it feels very light on the skin.
The cream is neither too thick nor too thin, It has a velvety touch to it and blends very easily.

It gives a soft natural matte finish look which I like.

It gives light to medium coverage and evens out my skin well. I sometimes use this as a concealer :P

It stayed for 4 - 5 hours on my combination skin. To wear it for the full day, I need touch ups with compact.

It has SPF of only 20 and no PA++, so it only shields against UVB rays not against UVA rays.

Shades Available : Beige , Bronze.

THE GOOD :
  • Velvet touch.
  • Travel - friendly packaging.
  • Light to medium coverage.
  • Contains SPF 20.
  • Evens out skin tone.
  • Spreads and blends easily.
  • Staying power.
  • Good value for money.

THE NOT SO GOOD :
  • No shades for dark skin beauties.
  • Limited shade range.
  • Oily skin needs regular touch ups.

Happy Glitters Rating : 4 / 5.
