Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick - Cruise Collection Review and Swatch

Hello Pretty Girls,

I am reviewing Revlon's Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in the shade Cruise Collection.

Price: INR 650

What Revlon Claims?

It can stay put and moisturize your lips all at the same time. It has Aloe extracts and Shea Butter that keep lips emollient, and credits its long-wearing power to the brand's exclusive Colorstay formulation. It comes in 20 colors.

My take on the product:

Packaging is pretty straight forward, the clear cap is useful for finding out the shades easily. The lipstick has little bit of shimmer to it and it settles in to the fine lines of my lips. The texture is quite creamy and the lipstick stays for long time.

Cruise collection is peachy orange shade which is perfect for summer, it doesn't transfer and the pigmentation is quite high. Applying too much will lead the shimmers to settle on fine lines.

It stays intact without transferring onto cups and glasses, Its unique tacky consistency really improves its longevity, but it emphasizes the lip lines. For those who fancy rubbing their lips together often, this lipstick is a NO :/ it feels STICKY when you rub your lips together.

It dries out the lips and doesn't moisturize it at all, over layering of lipstick will make the lips look dry and patchy.

Here is a swatch of Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick - Cruise Collection

What I Love?

  • Staying power.
  • Transfer resistant.
  • Packaging.
  • Pigmentation (medium).
  • Beautiful shade for summer.
  • Doesn't bleed.
What I Hate?
  • Shimmers settle in to fine lines.
  • Feels Kinda Sticky on lips.
  • Turns patchy after some time.
  • Make lips look dry, need to apply lip balm underneath.
  • Makeup remover is required.

Rating: 3.5/5

Will I Buy it again?

I don't think I need to, I might try out the other shades.
