Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Lip Gloss - Review

I am reviewing a lip gloss in the shade - Electric Shock  from Maybelline Color Sensational Range.

Price : Rs. 350 for 5 ml.

What Maybelline Claims? 

• More vibrant color from pure liquid pigments.
• Cleaner shine from our 100% wax - free gloss.
• Creamier feel from nourishing honey nectar.
• Now, gloss goes gutsy in 12 arresting shades.

For Best Results :

Use the wand to apply lip gloss starting in the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to outer edges of your lips, following the contour of your mouth. Then glide across the entire bottom lip.

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT

Packaging is sturdy and classy, it comes in a long squared plastic tube with a silver cap. The applicator is a typical Maybelline doe - foot wand, which adjust to the lips when the gloss is applied.

Electric shock is a blue based pink color with no shimmers. It will make teeth to appear whiter :D

The color becomes slightly fuchsia after sometime and it leaves a beautiful pink stain when the gloss fades away. It is long lasting and doesn't leak or bleed.
It glides on very smoothly and it moisturises the lips.

THE GOOD :

1. Affordable.
2. Staying power.
3. Doesn't bleed/leak.
4. Doesn't settles into fine lines.
5. Excellent color pay-off.
6. Classy packaging.
7. Moisturising.

THE BAD :

1. This shade may not suit dark skin beauties.

Oriflame Studio Artist Illuma Flair Concealer - Review

Hi Girls,

Today I am reviewing a concealer from Oriflame Studio Artist Range. It is one of my favourite concealer which hides the under eye dark circles really well.

Price : Rs. 279 for 10 ml.

It comes in three shades : Light, Medium and Dark.
I am reviewing the shade Medium.

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT

It comes in a tube with a small nozzle which squeezes out the right amount of product.

The texture is soft and creamy, it blends well and gives light to medium coverage. It creases a bit when applied in the under eye area, however setting it with a powder makes it perfect.

The shade medium has pink undertones and it is best for medium to dark skin ladies.

It blends easily with fingers, sponge and brush. It can also be used as eye shadow primer. It holds the eye shadow well without creasing.

THE GOOD : 

1. Travel friendly packaging.
2. Coverage.
3. Doesn't crease.
4. Price.

THE BAD :

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT

The Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse foundation comes in a transparent glass bottle with a lockable pump dispenser.
Packaging is sturdy and the only downfall of the packaging is that some product gets accumulated in the nozzle and dries up. So when pumped for the next time this dried product comes along with the foundation. It is important to clean the nozzle after every use to avoid this.

It has a thick creamy liquid texture to it and best suitable for winters. It gives medium-to-full coverage and it blends easily.

It settles to a semi-matte finish after blending.
It doesn't look cakey when layered.

This foundation gives a semi-matte dewy finish on the skin and looks natural & fresh. It minimizes pores to some extent.

It does give an airbrush finish as claimed.

The Maybelline India website shows 6 shades. The shade Nude Light - 04 is a perfect match for my skin tone.

Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate Kajal - Review & Swatch

Today I am reviewing a kajal from Lakme Absolute Range. It is my most favourite kajal, blackest black kajal I ever used.

I am very addicted to this kajal, I quite regularly use this kajal, that is why the stick is looking small.

Price : Rs. 700 for 1.2 g

Wufff!! on a expensive side.

Description : 

The first of its kind water-resistant, smudge-proof, jet black kohl pencil for the perfect smokey eye. 

Its unique moisturising ceremides soothe and soften lashes. Safe to apply inside the eye while giving the ultimate, long lasting, jet black lines.

• Smudger for creating a smokey look.
• Last up to 16 hours.

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT

Packaging : 

It comes in a black pencil form with a rubber tip smudger. For me the smudger is a bit of waste. I prefer using a smudge brush or a pencil brush.

The pencil is made of a plastic body and it is little difficult to sharp, but with a bit more pressure it can be sharped nicely.

Texture : 

The texture is soft, creamy and smooth. It glides every easily on both eyelids and waterline.

It doesn't irritate my eyes. 

Pigmentation : 

It is the blackest black kohl kajal. The color is very intense and stays for long time.

Staying Power : 

The best part of this kajal is its staying power. It stays for an easy 10 hours on my waterline.

It doesn't smudge or give raccoon eyes.

It sets very quickly after application so if one want to smudge the kajal for a smokey eye, must be very quick in smudging.

The GOOD : 

1. Jet black.

2. Pigmentation.

3. Long staying power.

4. Dermatologically tested.

5. Doesn't irritate eyes.

6. Water-proof.

7, Smudge-proof.

8. Soft and creamy texture.

The BAD : 

1. Expensive.

2. Product wastage while sharpening.

3. Gets used up quickly.

Overall Verdict :

Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate Kajal is perfect, though it is expensive, it is so good. A MUST HAVE in every girl's collection. It is the best kohl I have ever used. I highly recommend this, if you are a kajal lover.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder - Review

I am reviewing a compact powder by Rimmel London in the shade 004 - Sandstorm. I always wanted to try this compact and now I really like it. 

It is available in various number of shades for all skin types :)

Price : Rs. 230 for 14 g

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT 

Packaging : It comes in a simple plastic round packaging. The powder is housed in a round pan with a clear lid. 

It doesn't come with an mirror or applicator sponge. I always use brushes for applying powder but a mirror is handy for touch ups.

Texture : It has fairly smooth texture. It gives sheer coverage , so it works well as a setting powder over foundation.

It gives a soft matte finish to my foundation. It doesn't look cakey.

Staying Power : It stays for 3 - 5 hours on my combination skin. It works well for all skin types.

It has a very mild fragrance to it.

What I Love?

1. Very affordable.
2. Quantity.
3. Staying power.
4. Works well as setting powder.
5. Gives even soft matte finish look.
6. Simple packaging.

What I Hate?

1. Doesn't come with a mirror or sponge.

Will I Recommend It?

Yes, I will recommend it to all the lovely girls and I say it is an Excellent Value for Money product. A must have in girls vanity.
